Social Media is often intimidating, and many people don’t think that they have the time to invest or the know how, to make it work for them. Below are a few freebies on how launch your social media campaign.

  • Getting Local “Likes”

    Setting up a simple fundraiser for the local elementary or middle school and linking it to the likes your receive on your page. Here’s how it works:

      1. When you have a business page on Facebook, the only people that see your posts from that business page are the people that have “liked” you as a business.

    Get the likes that matter from the people that live in your neighborhood by sponsoring a small fundraiser to the local school. For every “Like” you receive in the next 30 days you will donate $1 to the general fund. Let the Principal, Teachers, Counselors, and any active student organizations such as the PTO know about your fundraiser and the dates. You’ll be surprised all the attention that you get!

  • Simple Commenting

    If you can commit to commenting on 5 – 10 photos posted by friends and acquaintences in your area you will ensure that you stay within their thoughts. This will take you 5 – 10 minutes per day and keep you relevant in everyone’s mind.

Realtors are some of the best marketers in an offline person-to-person environment. You’re incredibly brilliant at getting to know your clients on a very personal level, getting involved in your community, and connecting with your local market.

  • Social Media should be sending users directly to your website

    Ensure that the link to your website is plastered all over your Social Media campaign. Your website is the epicenter of your marketing efforts. It allows everyone to learn a bit more about you, your real estate business on their terms. Pinterest is great for this. Each image that you post in Pinterest should be from a listing on your site. Facebook posts of listings should provide Real Estate teasers that take users from Facebook to YOUR site!

  • Pinterest your listings!

    When using Facebook, I strongly recommend creating a business listing for your Real Estate business. However, when setting up your Pinterest account, just setup a board for listings and keep it up-to-date. These listing images will need to come from your website. You will be amazed at the simplicity yet effectiveness of this.

Be patient, Social Media does not create overnight results. But if you stick to it, and continue to do the work, eventually the magic happens. More people seeing your listings, more clients, more people at opened houses, all snowballing into …more sales!
